Prof. Dr. Murat Türegün
Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist
He was born in 1983 in Ankara. He completed his education at TED Karabuk College (1969-1979), Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine (1979-1983), and Gulhane Military Medical Academy (1983-1985). Between 1988-1993, he completed his specialization training in Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He became an associate professor in 1999, and a professor in 2005 in this department. In the meantime, he worked at the Cleveland Clinic Department of Plastic Surgery for 1 year between 1997-1998. Simultaneously, he worked in Ankara between 2001-2009, and he has been working in Istanbul since 2009. He has also been performing surgical procedures abroad since September 2007. Dr. Turegun also has "specialization diplomas" in 2 different minor fields including Hand Surgery and, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Prof. Dr. Murat Turegun has a total of 81 national and international articles and 146 papers. He spoke in 44 conferences and panels. He has a total of 1060 citations and wrote 5 book chapters. Prof. Dr. Murat Turegun has a special interest in Aesthetic Surgery, Microsurgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthognathic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Cleft Lip and Palate, Burns, Oncological Surgery and Reconstruction, Breast Reconstruction After Mastectomy, Hand Surgery, Laser and Medical Aesthetics, and serves his patients in a wide spectrum including these fields.
Who is YeÅŸim Makzume?
Born in Ankara, YeÅŸim Makzume graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1996. She started working in Ankara after graduation and opened her own clinic in Ä°zmir after her marriage.
She later moved to Istanbul, studied Marketing and Public Relations at BoÄŸaziçi University and then Healthcare Management at Istanbul University to learn the operational aspects of the medical profession. After working in the dental clinic of Bayındır Hospital, she continued to care for her patients at the Swisscenterdent in Istanbul. She then moved on to Prof. Dr. Tosun Tosun’s clinic.
Championing the idea that a beautiful and natural smile is crucial to reflecting self-confidence, YeÅŸim Makzume furthered her studies in the field of aesthetic dentistry. Seeing that medical aesthetics can be very effective in smile design, she believed that guidance and well-thought cooperation with other branches is very important.
